Deal the Cards is a beautifully written autobiography by Evelyn Owens,
chronicling her life growing up on a hard working farm, her education, her
work during the Roosevelt administration as an early outreach social worker,
as the head of a girls reform school and as a university professor.
It's a charming account about the love of learning, importance of family and
good old fashioned common sense. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
